Spotlight Pictures

This page will change periodically.  This is a place to see recent pictures of places, people, or events which we have really enjoyed.   Please remember these are just thumbnails, click on any picture that you would like to see larger.

This recent spotlight pictures page is focused on the Twelfth Annual International Snow Sculpture Championships in Breckenridge.  We have really enjoyed being in the area and watching these sculptures go from 12 foot tall, 20 ton blocks of snow to sculptures.  These pictures give you a small idea of what fun it is to be a part of a thriving winter community.  Each picture will be labeled with the team name and the name of the sculpture.

The above sculpture won first place.  It was created by the Canadian team and is called "His Mistress".

1) The first sculpture won second place.  It was created by the Russian team and is called "Prometheus".  2) The second sculpture won third place.  This sculpture was a sentimental crowd favorite because of it's theme and because it was created by team USA - Breckenridge.  It was titled "Brighter Than Ever".
