Puerto Vallarta - June, 2007

Introduction note (by Joe): Christine and I joined my family for another Lustik Reunion, this time in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The entire Lustik family regularly meets every couple years or so for a week long gathering. We were nineteen strong with the addition of Jill, Benjamin's girlfriend. My parents (Ron & Marilyn) rented a spectacular villa in the hillside community of Conchas Chinas. Casa Angela is a fully staffed villa built into the cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It was a wonderful location to reunite with my family.

Following are some images of and from the villa we rented. We were very pleased with the accomodations:

As such a large family, we frequently broke up into smaller groups for outings away from the villa. We did however do a canopy tour together which included moving amongst the tops of the trees along zip lines. Some runs were as long as a quarter-mile. The canopy tour facility included a natural water park, an outstanding tequila-tasting bar and a restaurant.

I participated in quite a bit of tequila tasting. Some of us also went snorkeling around the Las Marietas Islands National Marine Park. There was plenty of walking, shopping, game-playing and dining, though the meals prepared for us at our villa were probably the best. It was probably the best Lustik Family Reunion yet. I wonder how we'll top this one.
