Introduction note: These photos were taken at various times. Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area (FGNRA)is based on the reservoir created when the Green River was dammed for electricity. FGNRA is divided in half by the Wyoming-Utah state line. FGNRA is popular for recreation boaters and plenty of fishing. The big fish are Kokanee Salmon and Mackinac Lake trout, and there are plenty of rainbow trout. The road route around the gorge constitutes 155 miles of outstanding motorcycle travel. The town of Green River sits on the north end of this loop. FGNRA is our back yard for Christine's rowing, Joe's fishing, motorcycling and mountain biking, and much more.

Plenty of wildlife call FGNRA home. Pronghorn antelope are almost always visible. There are also mule deer, mountain sheep, elk and the occasional moose, black bear and mountain lion. The following link may provide you more information.
